In the evening of November 23rd, PENGCHENG Academy carried out the Class Seventeen of Phase IIStudent Class & Reading & Sharing Session of the Month. It organized the Group headquarter management and its subsidiary companies’ reserve cadres to watch the documentary "Crocodile in the Yangtze". Students were deeply touched and made wonderful sharing.

The documentary “Crocodile in the Yangtze" is a film mainly records Ma Yun in his young age. An English teacher who is unwilling to be ordinary, dare to think and dare to fight, has always worked hard through his courageous choices in spite of whatever look of confusion expressed by those around him. Overcoming various difficulties, he has gradually become a successful entrepreneur who is now amazing the world. The video not only shows Ma Yun's struggle, but also reproduces the twists and turns of the "Alibaba" company.

 

After watching the thought-provoking videos, the silenced trainees got into meditation. With the host of Mr. He Qijun, the Assistant to Chairman of the Group, everyone took part in active discussion and expressed their opinions.

Students are voicing their opinions. 

At the end of the course, Mr. He Qijun shared his insights: “The success of Alibaba is an earthshaking thing accomplished by a maniac and a group of idiots following him. I believe time and tide makes a man, and during which if one is trying hard to keep up with the time and make every effort to continue, then he is bound to be successful in realizing his dreams. At present, the PENGCHENG Group is in the second phase of its strategic upgrade and innovation & development. It gives every PENGCHENG family member a better and broader platform for development. Faced with the platform, only if each family member needs to clarify his thinking, develop the spirit of “screws”, and work in a good working condition, he will always grow together with the company and create a better future.” In the end, PENGCHENG Academy’s video sharing session in November for “Crocodile in the Yangtze” was successfully concluded. What PENGCHENG family saw tonight is Alibaba’s success yet what he harbors is PENGCHENG’s hope!

There are a lot I benefits from the film and I’d like to share following views: 1. Ideas determine the way out. The development of a company is inseparable from a clear strategic plan, a unified working philosophy, a unified corporate culture, and a unified value system. This is the source of strength for all Alibaba’s employees to work together and unite in dilemma. 2. For the formation of a century Alibaba in the future, the need for standardized institutionalization is the basis for the sustainable development of the company. 3. The vision determines the outcome. Only with a sense of greater self and social responsibility can we win the respect and trust of our customers and even our competitors, so that we can go further and wider. 4. Success is not inevitable. Dilemmas and adversities are transient. As long as our direction is clear and we actively seek solutions, there will be no threshold that can’t be broken. "It only takes persistence to turn a man into the Man, and it is just a matter of time to incarnate a “tell” into a tale.”

Ma Yun's success lies in his high self-orientation, lofty aspirations, dreams, audacity to think & work hard, which leads his team to go higher and further.
